Back Again!

Hiya all. I'm so sorry it's been so long...life has been keeping me....well let's just say that I was hanging by a very thin thread until this past week (I'd say around size 100, kidding). I returned to work from my maternity leave on April 25 (the same day as my baby's first birthday ironically & trust me, not by choice), we moved into our new home in May, went through major training & transitions at work as well as major transitions here at home, and so much other personal garbage that it all kept me from keeping up with all my other interests. Thankfully we were away on vacation from last Monday July 25 until today. This vacation tore away at my stress and helped me feel like my old self again (I even got lots of crocheting done!), until of course we arrived back home and my gut started to feel all tight again.

That said, this vacation did us all good. DH (Gus), Demetri, Lucas and me, at my parent's trailer for a week in a wonderful trailer park on beautiful Stoney Lake. I grew up on this lake every weekend of every summer from the time I was 7 until around 20 or so. I love it up there. I really appreciate it so much more now than I did as a teenager, when I was dragged up there each weekend when my friends were having other fun in T.O. Now I fully appreciate its peaceful atmosphere and it's also so nice to get away from the city. The name of the park is Pilgrim's Rest. Appropriate, isn't it? If you ever feel like getting away for a weekend or longer, and you love camping & nature, this is definitely the place to be.

Well, off to bed soon but not before some well deserved self-pampering before I hit the office and its madness again tomorrow. A nice toe-polish and an eyebrow cleanup (can't go back looking like a bush-pig) will do the trick. 'Night all!
